Default 6 inch lift

i got a few questions on upin my lift a little. right now i have a 3in homebrew. its got bastard packs in the rear and zj v8 springs and spavers up front. im runnin 31x10.50s and 3.55 gears. the rear end is a chrysler 8.25 and both diffs are open. i wanna go up to a 6in lift and clear 33s but moneys is kinda tight. i like the flex i get outa the back so im thinkin ill just do 2in blocks and a 1in shackle. the front i think ill just get a set of 6in coils. my questions are what the best answer is to the drive line trouble i will have i have looked at syes and longer tail shafts and dont kno which is really the best way to go, and do i need to shim my axle to keep from killin u-joints. my other question is should i get longer control arms or a drop kit or both? i kno ill need longer shocks and brake lines. and i plan on getten an adjustable track bar. if you can think of anything im missin let me kno. thanks

SYE and longer control arms are recommended I think. I'm running a 3" lift and 33's, a lot of trim, not a lot of rubbing. As far as blocks go, people will suggest not to, but my friend has been running some for nearly 2 years and has yet to have a problem. That's all I could help with, I don't know much regarding tech.

Since money is tight, I believe the shackle and block combo you're considering is your best route for the rear. You're going have to go with a set of sdjustable control arms for 6 inches of lift. The drop brackets will get you only 4 inches so you would need a set of adjustable control arms for your 6 inch lift, anyway. if you have the money, I've heard the dropped bracket get you a better ride. I have a 6 inch lift and RC X-Flex adjustable control arms going to the stock mounts and I think my XJ rides fine.

go look at a 6" lift, and get every component from it.

that plus an sye and thats what you need.

blocks and shackles on a bastard pack are a terrible idea.

the blocks will cause severe axle wrap which could lead to t-case damage, and the shackle gives the leafs a greater range of motion, which is ok, as long as you bumpstop it properly.
