Alright y'all.... My 90xj is having a 4wd issue. Seeing as I just moved to Kansas and winter I'd fast aproaching , I'd like to have my 4wd. So here's the deal...when I lock it into 4wd lo, you can feel the low shift points and as if the tranny and xcase are working. But front tires don't spin like they are locked in. I have tried on pavement, dirt, gravel, sloppy mud, etc nochanges . any idea on what I might be would be great. Any way to test anything. I'm thinking its the vacuum locker on the front axle

James, see that the rubber block with the vacuum connections is on the disco. They fall off easily, causing some to S-can the whole deal.

A long zip-tie on that loosely, will hold the vacuum lines on...usually. The bad disco fork casting on the earlier was fixed before your 90.
Btw Pete, one poster just moved it over and siliconed the ports! The air pressure can keep it engaged, (if you want your pinion, drive shaft, and a bunch of stuff in the transfer case spinning all the time)

I hate vacuum with a passion so what's everyone's take on the posilock cable? Does it work the same in principal? And also I think my tps is going bad because tranny fluid is fine but its shifting real early no matter how much throttle and it takes a few seconds to turn off after I turn the key off
