4cyl t-case swap help needed
My buddy and I just finished swapping a tcase from a 96 6cyl aw-4 into a 94 4cyl 5-speed cherokee everything fit fine, but when we put everything back together we had no movement. The tcase spins freely in any configuration. (THE DRIVESHAFTS WERE NOT IN AT THIS POINT) We let the clutch out, the engine made no discernible noise, and the clutch started to smoke. Everything worked fine before the swap, and the tcase was about to totally self destruct any day, and was definitely bad.
Any thoughts anyone?
If it was different why would it have still fit?
All the wiring and everything hooked right up.
Everything sounded normal underneath.
