I have a 96 2 door with the 4 cyl. I've done the plugs, wires, filter, etc but does anyone know of any intakes, headers, or other ugrades? I want more mpg's and more power Any ideas? thanks!

sorry bud, not many owners of the 4 banger like you and i around here. only performance upgrade that i know of (havent look so im not saying there is none) is a turbo......which i think would be a good upgrade as long as you dont plan on doing any driving in water(it would probably crack or explode)

you actually do have some passing power, shift to 3rd and youll get that passing power you looking for (dont go too fast though)

My brother has 4 banger in his (lifted w/33's under) wrangler, He loves it. The difference in the MPG's made up for lack of power on highway. As for upgrades, I believe you have the usual. Cold air intake, Bored TB, Injectors, Headers & Cat, Exhaust system. All of which should improve your MPG's anyways.

I had a four banger before I bought my current 4.0, the only upgrade I did was a $25 cold air intake I bought off ebay, it got me +2 mpg's on average and felt like a little more power. It made it sound like a rice rocket though. It kinda sucked having a jeep that sounded like a honda civic.

only thing upgrade that i think would really give some good results on a 4 banger is a very high flow intake and new exhaust....i can feel my jeep has more power but cant pull the air it wants

I've got the 5 speed and i really like how it drives for a 4 banger and the mpg's are a lot better than my dodge

yeah, and torque wise the 4 banger isnt bad at all, its in highway that it could use some improvement
