You'll still absolutely need bump stops. 3" and 35s might be pushin it. The guys that run super lcog usually have full width axles which help a lot.

I think 4.5" and 35s is a much more reasonable setup. Especially with long arms and oodles of down travel.

We went to the moon so yes you could make it work. If you trim the hell out of the front fender, trim and roll the rear, add proper bump stops and get rims/wheels spacers with proper backspacing it would defanitly work. You won't have much up travel but if your goal is low cog rock crawler w/ 35's on 3" lift would be sick. This is my xj on 35's and 3.5-4" lift. If I didn't have the bushwhacker flares I could defanitly trim another 1-2" off the fenders. Let it buck!
