4.0 cherokee long brake pedal >
Hi, after doing some towing the other day, every time i brake the pedal edges towards the floor, you then have to reapply the brake pedal to bring it back up to its normal level - pumping i guess.
i think its the brake master cylinder ? can anyone confirm this, there is no fluid loss in the system. if so can i just replace the seals, and is this easy ?
also what brake fluid do our motors use ?

If youhave no fluid loss, then the master cyl is a good bet, you didn't mention how much you were towing, if you were overheating the brakes you can "boil the fluid" and this causes air in the system. you need dot 3 brake fluid.
