So im new here and in need of help. In the summer when I have been driving for at least an hour or more my transmission starts to slip I think. When this happens I am not able to accelerate and it starts to sputter like its gonna die and I need to let it cool down for about an hour or so. Any advise?

 

is the engine running hot?
how does the tranny fluid and coolant look?
when was the last time they were serviced?
