errr.....you wont get away with that.. some jeeps rub too much with 30x9.5. and i would imagine those 32s are probably 10.5, 11.5, or 12.5 and the width wont help the fact that you will probably put some good waves in your fenders and rip off the flares if you hit a speed bump over 0.5 mph...that and you would shred up those 32 as well....lets just say its not a good idea..ok?

and if they did happen to fit height wise, you would still have the problem of the extra width which would make your jeep rub on every turn

you'll more than likely still rub. i have 265/16s on mine with three inches of lift and they rub the lca's if i go full lock on the steering.

i have a buddy who runs 32's on a 3 inch lift...but i dont really know if it would work with a 2... i have never tried it before so it may, but all i know is that they WONT fit stock.

forgot to ask, do you have trimmed fenders? now they could fit if you had trimmed fenders, but what i was telling you was assuming you had non-cut fenders. I'm no expert, so theres a possibility that they could fit. I'm just giving you my logical opinon why I THINK they wont fit. I have not tried putting 32s on a stock jeep or one lifted 2" so dont take what i say to heart....as i could always be wrong

well you might only need to do some minor trimming when you get the lift installed...but if your still lookin to run them on a stock setup your gonna be doin some serious trimming

My 31's rub under full lock with 3" of lift. I wouldn't do it unless you plan on trimming a lot.

I just got my 34" TSLs under mine with some trimming and no lift (yet). I rub on the frame at near full steering lock. I also rub on the floorboard under the petals, but that'll be easily solved with a sledge...

My question is, how do I set my steering stops, as mentioned a few posts up?

My options:

Lift (don't wanna more than I have to. I still may go 2-3 inches, but it will still rub unless I go like 6+ which isn't going to happen!)

Wheel spacers (Don't want to as they would cost more a piece than I paid for the tires altogether, and it would make me wider)

Pound in the frame to clear or cut and weld indents (which, I would assume would weaken the frame, which I don't want to do)

Set steering stops. Least expensive of all options, but I don't know how.

This sounds like a common issue with Xjs, and without putting the thing up on stilts I'm not seeing how to put any tire over 30" or so up there without it rubbing the frame. What is the usual solution?

Update!

I went ahead and put three washers in the steering stops (found them and it.was.easy) anr so far.no.rub.

Those of you that are rubbing: part of.the LCA rub is due.to bad rim offset. Im using my stock steel rims because Im.too cheap to buy new rims. Also, Im a special case, because though Id still maintain good steering by putting in properly offset rims I would probibly rub the floorboard more as it would add.to the overall swing of thr tire. Im really.shoehorned in there.

Also, I did beat my floorboard.in. i gained at least an inch of tire clearance if not more. Went from.rubbing the.floorboard.with.the wheels.straight to clearing while.turned and no.bumpstop. Wasnt all that hard. Its to its limit, though. Dont.think I.could.squeeze.even another.half.inch however.hard.I.tried. The only.way Ill get any more clearance.would be to relocate the axle.forward an inch.or so, as there.is plenty of room forward of the current axle location. I.will probibly be doing this to my buggy if I get it going some time.

Still have to do a final check, finish getting the rear sway bar oit of.there, and set bumpstops, but there you have it: fender trim, clear.out the wheelwell, and you can get 34" tires on an xj without a lift!

Every jeep is different,.though, and it.makes a difference how well you know how to trim and shape metal. There are some flanges.in the back that will catch the tire if they are not pushed out. A lot of finesse and patience. Will.add pics when its more presentable.

Im running 32's on a 3.5" lift and i still had to do some trimming so they dont rub on my fenders, but i left my flares on and didn't trim the full fender just the front and rear so i could steer, so if you were to go 3" and trim your fenders im sure you'd be plenty fine.
