Can not guarantee they will not rub at lock or when you flex, but yes they will fit.

you may have to trim a little and do some work on your steering stops

If you don't plan on off-roading with them will they work w/o trimming? I'm curious about this too.

30x9.5 will work on stock XJ without trimming, BUT. You will rub on the control arm at full lock and the fenders when flexeing the suspension. You might have to creep over speed bumps like a low-rider. If you do a 1 1/2" or 2" BB you will clear the body but might still rub on the LCA.

My 31s rub all over. My suspension is well worn in. They have broke both rear fender flares and pulled the rear bottom corners of the front fender flares off. (factory parts) I just let them rub and maybe a flare will fall off so i can get some new fancy ones. That was my train of thought before i put the forsale sign in the window
