3 foot lift help
Can anybody help me... I'm looking for a three foot lift for my 98' xj sport I am an offroad vetern but haven't gone over a foot in lifting. I'm looking into going serious rock crawling I have a 4 1/2 inch lift in my xj now but can't find anything bigger than six inches. I'm also looking for all the extras I will need. Like a new transfer case, drive shaft, and axels, etc. need help. Thank u to anyone who can help

3ft ?
that seams a bit much. im not a guru in this area, but wouldnt make it a wee bit top heavy?
but if your serious about it, you might google it. i would think its gonna be a variety of different kits to make it work, and is gonna require alot of research on your end.
good luck

Assuming you're serious, (and I'm not sure about that.) Would a 36" lift even be remotely possible without extending the wheel base about 6'? Somebody in the Off Topic forum posted some pics of an f350 that was lifted 21" and it was taller than the dude's house.
You can probably clear 36" tires with an 8" lift and trimming.
What would be point of a lift that big be assuming that it isn't a typo. And you say you want to "rock crawl"? Have you even looked at successful crawling rigs? They're low with huge tires and massive flex.

3ft lift?? wow that 36" of lift..Are you sure you aren't talking 3" of lift as in inches? I mean 36" of lift is beyiond just cutom work you will basically have to build everything from scratch and you won't have 36" of suspensiont travel. Your rig would be nothing more then street queen to show off fab skills and would never be practical for any heavy offroad other then mud and street driving would be pretty pointless..

a foot of lift is way more than necessary for any cherokee.....not many show lift trucks even have nearly 3ft of lift......for a serious rockcrawler you want to keep it as low as possible with as big of tires as possible

Here's a video of the frame twister. If you can crawl this, you've build a decent rig.
Low, huge tires, big flex.
