3" Bastard or RC?
I'm trying to decide between one of these two lifts, money aside. I know RC's is probably a better ride and such, but if the bastard pack can still pull off similar flex, I'm thinking of going with that. I just wanted to get some second opinions in way of flex, please don't recommend me any other kits, I'm simply trying to compare these two.

Edit:
constructive feedback, please.

Yeah, the only way I would go with the Bastard lift over Rough Country is if I had an uncle who owned a junkyard and I was getting the pieces for free or REALLY cheap. Rough Country lift is made for an XJ. Therefore it is definitely going to ride better and most likely flex better than a thrown togther "Bastard" set up made of parts for other vehicles. Just my 2 bits.

So, once we get this Rough Country 6.5" lift put on my Boys' 87' he's in for a surprise, eh? He is just all jazzed about the fact that his XJ will finally be taller than mine....LOL. Mine has a pretty good ride. Good for my brittle old bones....LOL.

i say bastard pack. i've done enough on friends jeeps and seen how well they flexed.
only knew one guy who had rough country leaf packs and not only did he say they were a rough ride, they sagged and didn't even flex out as much.
find a real cheap set of s-10 leafs. you can use dakota leafs, but if i ever do another, i'd say s-10 for simple reasons.
cheers.

careful what ya say. i rode in a friends xj this weekend with the 6.5 rough country kit, that thing was like ridding in a caddy, even over whoops this guy has a can of soda open and drinkin it without spilling a drop. i've always heard rough country is a rough ride, i now say BS, it rode so nice i started saving for the same kit. so if you havent ridin in an xj with the rough country lift, then watch what you say, you'll end up suprised like me....
