Default 29.5" Tires on stock Jeep.

I found a set of 31X10.50X15 tires on a local board. The guy said they have 40-45% tread left. He said they actually measure to 29.5" tall. I'm guessing this is because they don't have all the tread as a new tire would. Would these fit on my Jeep with no problems? It's a 1989 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer with fender flares on it and all. If it helps any, the rear doesn't sag at all. I'm guessing it's had new leafs put in it at some point. Thanks for the help!

I run 30x9.5 BFG AT's which measure 29.5" with no problem at all, your bigger issue may be the 10.5 width. You may get some rubbing.

With stock height? And you dont' get any rubbing when turning sharply? I don't even mean in relation to trail use... I mean on street use. I thought you'd experience rubbing with 30x9.5's when cornering/.making U-Turns, etc...

No rubbing here. They really fill out the wheel wells though.

I run 30X9.50's on my stock XJ. NO rubbing. Slight rubbing with medium off roading.

I ran 30x9.50x15 on my stock 93 with no rubbing on the street. Never had it flexed with the wheels turned to know if it would rub, just RTI style flex with wheels straight, still didnt rub.

I agree you may have problem with the extra width though.
