^^^ that sounds about right for the 235 on the conversion, I think just a hair shy of 30....as that's what I have on mine now at stock height. And I personally like them. I don't plan on lifting mine. I've got plenty of ground clearance for the trails I take with mine.
The 235 Grabber AT2's I had were listed at 29.1". At that time they were the tallest of the 235's I know of.
Hadn't planned on raising mine either but after the 10yrs I've had it the rear went deep south. Still 235's are the tallest I'll go. Noticed quite a performance drop when I went from the 215's that were on it up to the 235's.

I've always had 235s on mine so I don't know. One thing I've noticed is that at "in town" speeds on 235s my speedo is dead on... but once I hit about 65, it adds about 3 mph faster than what the speedo is reading. (I installed a double din dvd/nav unit) that reads dead accurate speeds. So that's how I know.
I saw an XJ with 215s on it when I lived in CO and to me it looked like it was driving around with a set of cheerios on it. lol. I personally think that 235s fill up the wheel wells quite nicely. And I don't have any issues with rubbing at stock height either. not even on the LCAs.

With 235's on the stock suspension I'd only barely hit on the driver's side LCA if making tight left hand turn when coming out of something like a deep rut or wash out. Didn't even bother to adjust the stop. Got less back space on my new rims now though.
I know with the 215's on mine when I got it was a lot quicker from a dead stop. Kinda miss that. lol

I humbly disagree. When I first got my Grand Marquis it had cheap house brand tires on it, had the alignment done and it still pulled. Took it back to Belle Tire and the guy said it's because my tires are cheap (not unsafe) he told me to get a set of Michelin Defenders and if it still didn't drive right they would put the old tires on and return my money. Car handles great, has excellent wet traction, are quiet and have a 90,000 mile warranty. My Jeep has cheap Goodyear Wrangler tires on it and they don't hold a candle to my Michelins. Now of course you shouldn't rely on tires to keep you from losing traction.

I have 235/75 15's and the only issue I have is due to weak rear leaf springs and it only happens when I'm loaded with camping gear or pulling my trailer with the quads on it. I get a rubbing of the rear tire hitting the finder on the driver's side when I hit a bump.
Found a website with "The Size Calculator" that shows the differences between two different tire sizes.
