Default 2001 XJ Driver Side Power Lock

First post, First Jeep, yea yea take it easy on me!

Driver side power lock will not lock or unlock using the remote or switches on the front doors. It does work with the key.

I'm assuming its electrical. Any starting threads or starting pointers?

The seller said its a feature so you don't lock yourself out. I dont believe this.

So only the driver's side front door doesn't work with the remote or the switches?
The rest of the locks work fine with the remote or switches?
I guess if this were me would see if power was getting to the driver's door actuator when hitting the lock switch.
If you have power would guess the actuator. If not wiring.

Just so you know it is the passenger side front door switch that operates the locks.

Also I believe that if you had your keys in the ignition but not running, driver's door open, and tried to lock the Jeep that it would not.

I dont understand? I have a lock switch on each door.

Sometimes when locks don't work, with the remote or button, at all it is because of the passenger side switch.
They actually run the locks.
But I don't think that is the case with yours.
Cause you make it sound like just the driver's front door is not unlocking.
That is why my first guess would be the actuator or wiring.
