everytime I turn the key off on my 1999 Cherokee the doors lock? why is this, its really frustrating! I almost lock the keys in it. any reply's would be great.

 

Cherokee or Grand Cherokee?

If the GC, there is an "option" in the overhead data center thing to turn that off.

I had a short that caused something like this in an XJ. Basically, the doors would unlock when the system had power, but would lock when power was cut. I know I replaced a lock actuator and disabled the child locks, but it's been a while.

Be patient as it could be a number of things... and do a search. Lock issues are pretty common for 97+ XJs.
