Hello boys,
So I've had a multiple cylinder misfire problem for a while. I also have the occasional no start, and the low idle. My suspicion is that it's the crank position sensor, because I've heard that they're know to go bad easily. Just asking for some more opinions here. Recently replaced Idle Air controller and thoroughly cleaned the throttle body.
Thanks!

Not really thinking that is it. Doesn't sound like the problems I had in my '00 when it went. Or what I have read. There is a test.

Low idle? How low is low? Misfires? What are the condition of the plugs and what ones do you use? No start? Have you checked all your connections and grounds?

If you do replace the CPS just bite the bullet and buy a Mopar one.

Woah, Very late reply on my part, sorry about that.
Low idle is about 100-200 rpm barely alive.
Misfires on 1,2 and 4
New plugs
thanks!

When my CPS sensor went, it's major symptom was that it was "thermally sensitive" (ran fine for ~30 minutes, quit, restarted after few minutes, repeat). Consequently it passed testing. Only at the very end did I get an OBD Code.

Test the camshaft position sensor, but that sounds more like gas (fuel pressure or clogged/injectors).

Don't forget to check the coil pack.
