He's only got 40 PSI fuel pressure. Spec calls for 49.

On my jeep I have to hold accelerator to the floor and sometimes pump it to get it to start. It's a sticking injector that floods the intake. Had me stumped that it would not start until i pumped it for the longest time. One day i pulled throttle body to clean it and noticed a pool of fuel in the intake so it was flooding itself just sitting there. Hope that helps.

pull the #1 plug, set to TDC. if the rotor on the distributor is not at the 5’o clock position when facing the side of the motor, then theres your problem. if its not that, its your harness and/or wiring on the connectors to the sensors. i just went through this and after fixing the faulty wires, which looked like a wad of melted crayons under the wire loom, it started, idled and ran fine.
