wont start

Question wont start

1990 cherokee. Drove it the other day parked it and now it just cranks its not getting any spark to the ignition. OR the destributer. Any help would be great. 90 4.0

I am going to guess CPS (Crank Position Sensor).

Try this little trick. Unplug the cps and clean the plug as good as you can then plug it back in and repeat about 4-5 times then after it has been plugged in the last time try and start it. If that works then you will have made a temporary fix. a new CPS ASAP will still be required. If that doesn't work then let us know and we will try a couple of other things. In the meantime check that you are getting fuel pressure on the rail and that spark is your only issue.
