2000 xj stalls
Hello people im new to this site never been on one so forgive me if i sound lame lol. just replaced the heater core and my Jeep just stalling randomly. Anyone else have this problem. My engine light is on as it was before the work was done. Guess I should have it checked but never seems to help much. Thanks for any feedback
Need to know what the number is for the CEL. Also under what circumstances does the Jeep stall. For instance. My '00 would stall just about the time it reached operating temperature. Most times start right back up. Maybe stall almost immediately again. Maybe get me to where I was going. Which was not very far. As time went on it got worse. There never was a CEL. Turned out to be thermal failure of the CPS.

Yup, the strategy for a check engine light is always the same. Pull the code. Study it and research it for clues and guidance.
Use the technology provided to you by your XJ. You will need either a code reader or a scan tool to get the codes. Some parts stores like Autozone will read the code for you for free.
When you have done this, post the EXACT code numbers here, not just a description.
Gotta chase every code. Failure to do so will make life a lot more confusing for you if you add an additional code as then you gotta try to decipher if they are related, unrelated, etc.
