Default 2000 xj Oil filter adaptor question

I know that the older xjs had an oil filter adaptor that had 3 o-rings that needed to be replaced. As far as I know, my 2000 only has the one big o-ring that needs to be replaced.

I have a replacement engine that I am getting ready to install. Today, I was replacing the main big o-ring where the adaptor meets the block, and accidentally dropped the adaptor on the ground. I reinstalled it, and thought all was good, then noticed that there is a tiny o-ring on the ground where I dropped the adaptor. I am assuming it fell out of the adaptor when I dropped it, but I took it back off and I cannot seem to figure out where it came off. The o-ring is only like a 1/4 inch in diameter. Does anyone know if this came off of the oil filter adaptor or not?

Thanks

Thanks Bbasso,
I guess mine does come apart.
The only issue is that the o-ring I am referring to is still much smaller than all three of the replaceable o-rings shown in your pictures. maybe only 1/8 of an inch in diameter

I have come to the conclusion it must have been from something else, as I cannot see where it could possible have come from.

Thanks for the pictures, they helped me replace the other two o-rings.
