Thumbs up 2000 XJ: Bushwacker Fender Flares, 18" JK Altitude rims, 275/70/18 MT's

Finally pieced everything together. The 17" JK's look good, but these wheels and tires are way better visually! Picked up the rims for $50 total. Tires are way too loud for daily driving, but i really bought them for trail/dune use anyways. Once they wear out i'll buy a set of AT's in the same size. Couldn't pass up the price on (4) good Firestone Destination MT's in the size i was looking for.

Craigslist: $50 for all 5

Test look.

Sounds like you got a great deal. They definitely look super sharp on your vehicle. Which is a generally sharp looking XJ to begin with.

Appreciate the compliment! It's taken a while, but she's getting where i want her to be.
Curious to see how she does next time i take her offroad.

Sexy looking XJ but man those things are too far inboard! I'd need wheel spacers to stick em out a bit

Can you post a straight on pic from the front so I can see the stance? What width adaptors you running?

Here are the 1.25" G2 spacer/adapters i'm running:

As far as the stance, i'm pretty happy with it. Wouldn't mind if they were pushed out a little farther, but the flares are keeping the mud from slinging which is nice. I was getting a lot of mud and water coming up on the hood & windshield when i had it on the trails last time so i'm hoping it will be lessened with the Bushwackers.

Cool, thanks man. I'm running 17" JK moabs with 1.5" spacers and have been wondering how the flat flares would look. Good looking clean rig you got there.

Thanks everyone! I'll be swapping the 18's for the 17's soon for better road manners and to save the MT's for off-pavement adventures. Next trip is planned in October to Silver Lake Sand dunes here in MI.

DAMN that looks good!!

What did you do to the front turn signals? Paint em black and mount some of those "cat-eye" LED's?

Yes, sprayed them with bedliner and wired in (1) white running light and (2) amber turn signals. They're just trailer lights, you can pick up a pack of 10 pretty cheap. I also redid my rear tails and switched over to full LED. Not many standard bulbs left on my XJ.
