2000 Jeep Cherokee 4.0
Alright so 2 weeks ago my fuel pump went out, replaced that an coil pack had a problem with the fuel pump priming it’s self the hole time the ignition is on, got that fixed an not the Jeep won’t stay runnin any longer then 10 minutes at max. Just cuts off like your cuttin the key off. Changed the camshaft position sensor an now it won’t stay runnin any longer then 5 minutes. An wont start right back up. Have to let it sit for about 30 minutes then it’d start. NEED THIS RUNNING WITHOUT PLAYING PARTS RELET. Also, when it backfires through the intake an manifold. You can smell gas like its flooding it’s self out. Any help??

Shutting off like that may be your cam position sensor. On your 2K it's located where the distributor would be in an older Cherokee that doesn't have coil packs. (98 or 99 back, I think.)
I think you can find videos on testing it on the TubeYou.

Old fart with a wrench
He said he just changed the cam sensor. I'm thinking crank sensor.
