2000 cherokee xj bumper hitch?
Ok so I have been searching for a good hitch and I can't seem to find the one I want. I am looking for something that is hidden as possible I really would like to get one of those bumper hitches because they are easy to install. I have searched and searched and cannot find a bumper hitch that will mount directly to a 2000 xj it keeps reverting me back to the class III hitch and I am never going to be hauling 4500lbs maybe 1500-2000lbs max! Can someone please help me out?

Are you trying to say you're looking for a hitch that mounts to the bumper itself?
If so, please do the safe thing and buy a real hitch to avoid any accidents/injuries. The bumper on a XJ isn't designed to hold weight.

Do yourself a favor and get a Class III. Regardless of how little you might want to tow, the Class III with its 2" receiver will come in handy. Be sure to get one that is welded and not one of the "universal fit" that bolts together.
I did a 'net search looking for hitches and ended up buying one from an Ebay dealer shipped to my door for less than I could buy one locally. I didn't have to drive anywhere to pick it up or pay sales tax, so was convenient and inexpensive. IIRC, the Class I was as much or more $.
Yeah, a Class III will take 8 bolts to install, but it will tie the rear frame
together and give some additional protection in the event of a rear end collision. The OE bumper is pretty wimpy and not suited as a tow point.

Get the u-haul hitch and it will be tucked up nice and neat,as for a bumper hitch for an xj they dont make one cause xj's have no real bumper it only looks like a bumper.

When my hitch arrived it was in a box that would hold a fender (5'x4'x2' whole thing weighed about 75 lbs.) but with free shipping, who cares! I think "bumper hitches" left with the 70's.
