My 2000 xj is cranking for 5-10 seconds before starting, mostly when it has sat for a few hours and I'm stumped at what it could be I have replaced and checked the following Fuel pump (whole assembly) Injectors Battery IACV TPS I've also checked my fuel pressure with a gauge and its holding pressure as it should. What should be my next thing to check?

I do have a code for catylitic converter and O2 sensor codes and will be replacing those this weekend, could those be the cause?

I had a similar issue not 10 seconds but longer than normal and I replaced my starter that was coated with oil. Fires right up now.

That's probably gonna be my next step, I'm replacing my catalytic converter and O2 sensors this weekend to clear my check engine light and if that doesn't help at all I'm going to get a starter

Changed the starter and spark plugs on my lunch break at work and it's starting like a champ now

If you replace the O2 sensors you may find you don't need to replace the cataclysmic converter.

I actually already had a new one in my garage, I've got a cat back exhaust I'm installing this weekend as well so I figured since I already have the new catalytic converter I may as well put it on as well
