I got a 1985 cherokee xj 2 door 2.5L , and i have an 1990 cherokee xj 4L motor. I want to swap the 2.5l for the 4.0 straight six. Has anyone done this before? and what kind of problems occured? will it basiclly bolt right in? i work at a 4x4 shop with every tool ill need and a engine lift so it will only take me a weekend or 2, im hopeing :S, any info / help will be greatly appreciated thanks yall.

 

are you swaping the entire wiring harness also? lot of yj (wrangler) guys do it.
