Default 2.5" exaust??

can someone re-assure me that 2.5" exhaust will fit on the cherokee... i want it run out the back from my new flowmaster 44 series muffler. except the last 3 shops i called said it won't work cuz there isn't enough room and its custom work which they will not do either...

pics would be cool too if you got them

I will reassure you . I have a full three inch all the way back. 2 1/2" will be even easier.

Thats what I'm running and no shop would work on it. They all told me it wouldn't work and that the flowmaster 40 im running is two short. my solution is a short male/female piece between the cat and muffler.

They wouldn't sell it if it didn't work.

I made my own. I used 3" bends from Summit Racing And cut and welded them together. However, there is an exhaust shop here locally that could make it for you . They do the custom stuff all the time.

My muffler is not a flowmaster, but about the same size, maybe a little shorter.

More than enough room you need to find another shop or as 4.3lxj said do it yourself

Well I'm from good old Coos Bay, Oregon. I went to a local muffler/mechanic that's pretty well known. I bought my flowmaster super 44 offroad version muffler off ebay for $90. Then I paid $160 for all the 2.5 inch tubing from the header back. The $160 inculded taking old exhaust out, bending the exhaust tubing to get a custom fit and finally welding it all in. I'll go try and take some pics and post em if you want. I got it done last week so it's still shiny....
