2 or 3 cranks to start and sometime no fuel guage

just gonna assume its the jeep telling me nicely to order a fuel pump..but wanted to be sure jeep has 183,000 on it not sure but i figure its had a pump

Does it have an extended crank ONLY when cold, when hot, etc?

Devil is in the details.

The fuel gauge issue is probably not related to your extended crank time....

could also be the ecu since the gauge is on a different circuit then the pump.
my zj does that now for the guy who got it from me.

always and i haven't checked the pressure yet it fires right up and idles fine plenty of power just went wheelin today and even though its done it since i got the jeep it was worrying me

and if i shut it down it will fire right up...it's like it's loosing prime anything over like 10mins and it takes a few tries... the guage will work if i cycle the key but thats very seldom that messes up
