It will fit on the engine just fine, the only problem is the 0630 heads do not have any way to mount the coil pack rail since they were intended for use with a distributor. If you don't feel like either living with it or fabricating some kind of solution, there's a newer head from the TJ and LJ Wranglers that has the correct bolt holes and no casting defect.

The door pillar sticker will tell u the mo/yr build date. Early '99 models will have a later half of the calender year '98 build date. Our '98 model has a very late build date (5/98)....built shortly before the '99 model year production started.
