Default 1998 Injector question

Just ordered a set of #19 injectors last week and i feel i might of ordered the wrong ones (should i have gotten the #24 ones?) if i install the #19 is there any driveability issues to this ? And then order the others. Would this be ok?

The #19 injectors are what you want for a stock 4.0 XJ. The #24 injectors are for an engine with high performance mods such as a stroker or supercharger. You got the right ones for your application. There should be no driveability issues at all. The #19 injectors offer the same fuel pressure rating, but have a better spray and atomization than a stock XJ injector. The stock injectors only have one hole for the fuel, were the #19 Ford injectors have four holes.

I have read through that thread at least 5 times and read each link within that thread several times. I come away more confused each time. Everyone contradicted what everyone else said and you never end up with a straight answer.

o2 sensors codes dont mean the sensors bad... means the cats bad... well if theres one in front and behind the cat... the sensors just seem to go bad before the cats do... so id try that next...

A cat, thats just great, maybe I'll keep the explorer after all. Whats one more trip to themuffler shop! Is there a way of verifying that the cat could be bad? I've got the original cat on the explorer but its a 94 with 92000 miles and the jeep has 124000.

a good mechanic or the dealer will have a gauge that bolts in the sensors spot in front of the cat... it measure pressure... then he can see where a XJ is suppose to sit and if to little pressure then your cat is blown through... if to much then its clogged up... but on older model vehicles installing a new cat cost as much as running the test so may as well do that... it aint gonna hurt anything anyways... ebay a cat with the same inlet and outlet as your pipe... i think 2.5... buy it cheap as crap... then whn you got another extra $20 bucks take it by mech shop and let them slap it in right quick... this way itll be cheaper for you and you can brake the money up alittle bit over time!
