I went to have my Jeep smog test for the re-registration and it gave me the error code P1493. When I look that code up it tells me that my Battery Temperature Sensor is too low. I researched this sensor on this and other forums and some said that the senor was located under my battery, while others said it was located under my battery tray. I could not find it either place. My check engine light is on, however I do not have any other issues. I did replace my battery a few months back and remember seeing a peice attached to the top of the battery, the wires were so tore up I just clipped them. I am not wondering if that is the Battery Temperature Sensor. Does anyone know how to replace that if I pick one up at the parts store?
