For those of you who have done it on your pre-96..
How did you mount the lower piece of the header?
Did you also use 97+ Fenders (as the older fenders are boxy/have more angle than the newer header)? if so do they bolt up the same?
Any other thoughts/suggestions are appreciated.

The panel fits how it is, but there are no brackets to bold the lower part of the header panel on. The older panel sits in front of the rad core support? and there are 2 bolts on each side to hold the lower part of it on. The only bolts holding the 97+ panel on are on the top (same as the pre-96). I guess I could make a braket or something to bolt the lower part on.
i made some small sheet metal brackets going from one of the torx on the fender to a hole in the header panel i drilled behind the marker light. bolted it in thurr.
gotta remove the headlight and turn signal lens to unbolt it, but no big deal

Awesome info. Well, I adjusted the panel so its flush to the sides of the fenders, and tightened it up more and it fits closer. Will change some stuff when I get the fenders. Anyone have a set in good shape?
