Hi, my jeep Cherokee will not crank or start, also the key isn't going in the ignition very easily. I've tried all the different gears and all that but I cant get it to crank at all. Any suggestions on what it could be?

happened to me and the starter was the problem

If it was ur starter ur belt wouldn't turn see if the belt moves before u determine if ut starter. Most likely its ur Nss because u said it wouldn't start in any gear? Correct?

 

Well I can't get the key in all the way to check if the belt turns. But it's a 5 speed so no nss.

 

Hm? Ok try this! U know the rod that u pull to move ur steering wheel up and down? Well that un screws so unscrew that and then at the bottom of the plastic steering box there is a star screw take that out and pull the plastic box off the columb and see what u can see from there
