Default Front Wheel Bearing

What is involved in changing a front wheel bearing on my 2001 XJ?

its easy take the brakes off un do the axle nut and remove the three bolts that hold it in. you may have to take a flat chisl and a hammer and tap it out. they get stuck in there pretty good some times. good luck

Do some searching there are several good posts with pictures and a few videos on this and other sites. I just did mine a couple of weeks ago after looking and many of these.

If you have ABS the extension trick for pushing out the wheel bearings will not work due to the ABS reluctor on the outer axle stub shaft.

Consider doing the axle U joints at the same time. Mine were shot as well as the wheel bearings.

I think the best posts on wheel bearings were the ones that also addressed the axle u joints.

Sorry I did not bookmark any of the posts I looked at to point you to.
