Hi,
Looking for some insight...
I recently purchased a 1995 Jeep Cherokee XJ and it came with no powered locks (or windows), so there is no wiring already running to each door. I was researching how to install after market actuators and such and saw that many people had issues with the actuators not being strong enough. So I was thinking I would go to a wrecker and rip out the stock door actuators assembly and install it into mine. Only issue is I don't know if I'm limited to only 1984-1996 jeep door latch parts or if I can take them out of new XJ's as well. Another thing is I'm not sure how to run those wires to the doors (whether they need relays or not). I also plan to install an auto start kit that also comes with Fob access but I can't use the same wiring charts or follow any other videos due to certain wire harnesses not existing. Just wondering if someone has done this before me or if someone has some insight and knows how to install?
