I have a 93 Grand Cherokee Limited. I've had it for nearly 3 years and haven't had much trouble with it. I have had to replace the alternator, the waterpump, cerpintine belt, and front break pads. Today it looks like the fuel pump went, however, (and I am sooo not a mechanic), these repairs are not that difficult and in every junk yard, you can find these jeeps for cheap parts.

Mine is a 93, paid $900 for it and never had a big issue in 3 years of ownership

I have a 93 I have owned for seven years. Bought it with 106k on the clock. I have put 100k on it and totaled it twice. It is still going. Oh yeah, I forgot , it is a 2.5 4cyl

1100 is nothing if you like it buy it, but test drive it first, and make sure 4x4 works

I bought my 94 XJ with almost 200k miles on, front in all bashed in for $1000. After a some TLC and few hundred in parts/wear in tear stuff I've driven it across country 3 times now with no issues (knocks on wood). If it runs good I would get it. XJs are built strong and run forever so long as they are cared for.

I bought my '92 for $1100 at 207k miles and it even came with a 3inch lift. Like others say, if it drives good and has no major issues go for it.
