Default 1993 2 dr cherokee no start

its a 4.0 auto. well first its getting 40 psi fuel to the rail?? it cranks but only starts with starting fluid an dies after a few seconds. it used to run for like 10 min then would die an not start back up for a little while. any ideas? i havent really got a chance to work on it yet planning on starting tmrw after work

Well if it actually does have 40 psi at the rail then I would say the injectors arent working.

Go grab some Chemtool B-12, clean your injectors, if that doesn;t work I would say your next best best is try and swap out your fuel rail, it may have some deposits that have built up. Chemtool is great but it doesn't always get all the deposits.

Loosen the rail and pull an injector out (slightly) and have someone crank it over. Take the coil wire off first! You should see fuel spurting out.

So you have varified spark? (have to check the trinity first) Starting fluid could combust just by pressure (kinda like a diesel)

well i just pulled spark plug 1 an it has a good spark. im about to try an pull out the injectors an see if the squirting. thanks guys i appreciate the help

so i just pulled the fuel rail and none of the injectors are firing. i put on a test light and it lights up when im cranking the engine. i pulled out the injector an turned the key and fuel shot out of the rail with no injector in. i also put a 12v jumper wire an fuel shot out the injector. so does this mean i have a bad wiring harness? or what?

does anyone have a wiring diagram for the fuel injection? or any ideas why none of the fuel injectors are firing
