Anyone have a clue what size the tank is on a 92 xj?
I read all over the net and iv'e heard anywhere from 13 gal to 20.2
Im trying to figure out my mpg this week, so when my low fuel light came on i filled up. it took 11.3 gallons. I have driven about 60miles so far and im already just under a half tank!!
I think my 02 might be bad, this is why im checking mpg. I also would like to see if my fuel gauge is off. If its a 13gal tank everything makes sense. but if its a 20 somethings deffiently up!

I get around 18 MPG on 92 xj. I have had lots of work done to this jeep and that is the best I have gotten so far. The tank is 20 gallons. I did have the fuel filter and everything checked with tune up last year. I would like to change out the fuel pump and tank in the future.

I thought the tank was an 18 gallon tank... now I gotta pay $6 more lol
It never hurts to change an O2 sensor... #1 cause of poor fuel economy.
Have a new air filter, new O2 sensor, free flowing exhaust, new plugs, wires, cap and rotor button put in and you should be good.

My gauge has to be off then. When my light comes on, it only takes about 11 gallons to fill. I have a straight threw exhaust,no cat, snorkle air filter with no air box, new wires, plugs, cap ,rotor, clean iac , new tps. Just going to do the O2 next.
