I have a 91 XJ the driver side door handle broke in the inside. I tried to figure out where to get one and connect it to but failed.

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of where the side that is not connected to the door latch connects to. I took off the passenger side but had no luck since I could not get my hand far enough inside the door and it was cold.

Not a lot to try.

START = FUEL + SPARK + CRANK

You said its "trying to start" so the starter seems OK.

Need to figure out if its Fuel or Spark.

You can inspect/wiggle spark plug wires, or try to get a screwdriver/pliers to see if the spark plug is firing....or you can try to get the fuel line off the fuel rail to see if there's gas.

Most common cause of no spark = CPS

Most common cause of no fuel is clogged or bad fuel pump

None are "quickly" fixed.

Go to a Junk yard, Or e-bay. (If you need a new handle.)There's a rod that connects the handle to the latch, with plastic clips on the ends. the clips become brittle and snap off. You can buy the clips at most auto parts stores. $3-4 for them.
