my jeep starter is dragging really bad at times. i have to carry a hammer with me now cause that is more inportant than my key. some one said he thought you could turn some part on or in the starter 180 degrees and it would work better then. i need to know what to do. any one have any experience with this issue? were about to leave for a 1200 mile trip to phoenix az and dont want to loose my starter half way there. thnxx

 

Just replace it, first gen starters are cheap and its a 20 minute job

 

Man, if you're about to go on a 1200 mile trip I think you should just replace it.
