Hey all!! I am new on the forum and would like to thanks you all in advance for being their. I have been on forums before and as a group we help each other out greatly. I have just bought my first JEEP ever and I hope to get it ready to use soon but I am having some issues. First I will start by saying it has been sitting for about 5 years in a field. The owner parked it do to a what he thinks is a bad head gasket (yet to be determined). I find no anti freeze in the oil but as we all know that doesn't mean anything. I want to make it run before taking it apart to find that it needs rings, crank, pistons, etc.
So I installed a new fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel filter. The old parts were eat up from the ethanol. I have new injectors and o rings (not installed). After I installed the new fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel filter I tried to start it and it turned over a few times and then the motor seemed to lock up. I thought the motor was toast. Turns out the #6 cylinder is filling up with fuel. I took out the injectors and the spark plugs and proceeded to turn over the motor to remove the fuel from the #6 cylinder but it seems to keep filling up that cylinder with fuel. when I installed the fuel pump it looked as thought the fuel lines only connect one way so I am not sure what could be happening. Anyone had anything like this happen to them?

So no one has the answer for this fuel issue.. So I figured it out to this point. The fuel pressure regulator is bad. The fuel is traveling thru the regulator to the vaccum side and into the intake manifold and rolling to the back of the engine, hence the fuel being in the #6 cylinder. If anyone has this problem this is the fix. NEW REGULATOR is the answer.. $54 new

I guess not. No one said anything about my post and I didn't find anything helpful on the forum at all. I will post on here and try to help those struggling if I can. I understand I am a new guy but those are the people that keep it going. Forums need new people. Helpful people. You'll need an answer massage me I'll do my best to answer your question.
