Default 1976 Cherokee Rear Spring Mount Help

Hello,

New to this forum and Jeeps in general. I acquired a 1976 Cherokee that was destined for scrap and am making it road worthy again. The rear leaf mounts have been hacked up and the previous owner used mild steel bar stock bolted to the exterior of the rear spring mount to get a lift in the rear. The front is unmolested and I'd like to get it back to the factory ride height.. Does anyone have a picture they're willing to share of the factory rear shackle configuration? I can't find much in my Google searches.

Thanks!

Well, welcome to the forum.

What you have is a "full size" Jeep Cherokee Model SJ. This forum is for the "compact" Jeep Cherokee XJ. You may get better search results if you add SJ to your search.

I did find this site that has the stock shackles.

I don't think we have an SJ specific forum here. Perhaps someone can guide you to more info.
