Default 1" Shackle Lift

I'm interested in lifting my 01 xj with a 1" rear shackle. I was wondering there's any concerns with doing this. My 01 is a limited with the factory tow package. I don't believe my leaf springs are sagging any cause I measured the distance from the bottom of the fender to the center of the wheel and got 17.5". I'm considering buying the shackles below. Are they worth it?

Personally I think that's kinda expensive for a 1" lift but that's just me. Check the for sale section here on the forum you could probably pick up a good deal there.

Shackles like that, do not have a crossmember are weaker. These would be much stronger.

Where did you find the shackles in the picture?

I don't plan on doing any off roading or towing, so would those daystar shackles be strong enough? My friend who is installing them for me, said those are good ones.

This thread begs the question: What should the measurement be from axle center (wheel hub center) to the wheel lip? Is 17.5 inches good??

I've got the same dilema - are my springs sagged beyond redemption or not?

Anybody know what the stock measurement should be?

I thought it was 17.5 up front and 17 in the rear.

Should I expect any issues after I have them installed? Such as vibrations or anything else?
