04 cherokee no power to climate control module.
I already replaced the factory one that had the melting defect. I upgraded to the oem fix. It was working fine but it cut out. I have checked the power line and it has no voltage running through it. I checked all the fuses in the car and none are blown. I am pretty sure i have a break and am grounding out. I have no idea where that wire that sends power to the climate control module under the passenger side terminates to. I can't tell if it goes through the firewall or to the fuse box under the drivers side. I was about to take the dash out to trace it but need the car running so i have it apart but need to know where that wire goes before i drop the steering wheel. If anyone knows where that wire originates at please let me know.

When ever posting you need to post year and model. But since you did put the year in the title, You are not working on an XJ. You need to post this in the correct section for your model.

This may or may not be of any help to you, but I recently had some electrical issues that weren't indicated by any blown fuses. I believe it was a corrosion issue.
The symptoms and likely diagnosis for my problem are in this thread...

You may have a completely different issue, but it's a start anyway.
Good luck.

Sorry I have already fixed the melted plug. I replaced the dual climate control box and wired it back up. After I did that it worked now something is wrong with the power to the climate control box. The wires coming from some magical place to the climate control are dead. I Need to know where the power wire that feeds the climate control box comes from. I have checked the fuse box under the dash and don't see it. it is a low gauge red wire and black wire.

Simple question......
Maybe I should regress to using my old one?
Sounds harsh but just makes sense:
“Let’s play a game.
You pretend that you are the only one that knows what year/engine/model, etc that you are asking about.
We will all pretend you never asked a question until you provide at least the bare minimum of information about your vehicle”.
