Hey y'all. Thanks for everyone's input and suggestions. It's great to have this as a resource for issues that come up.
So, after checking the O2 fuse with corrective readers in the PDC, it was gone. I replaced that.
I also checked the #10 fuse in the interior fuse box and THERE WAS NO FUSE THERE! WTF?!?! Placed a new fuse (15) in that and checked all the rest. All good.
Fired it up, no CE light, no codes and looks to be running great! Again, THANKS!

Good deal man. You never know what kind of zany stuff previous owners have done. I got lucky with my current XJ and the previous owners took pretty good care of everything.
Wrong section, my friend. You need to post this in the Grand Cherokee Tech section. I think yours is a WK2, but I'm not sure. Be sure to note your engine size and emission package.
Year: 1998 Classic (I'll get it running soon....) and 02 Grand
Model: Cherokee (XJ)
Engine: 4.0

I have never seen a forum where thread hijacking is considered okay. I really don't even understand why anyone would think it's okay, even without any forum experience.
Alrighty, back to square one but the common issue I've found is the heater fuse I just replaced. It's blown again. I'm guessing I have a short somewhere between the fuse and the O2 sensors.
I inspected each O2 sensor and did notice the downstream bank 2 looked to be burned while the others were clean. I'm no expert obviously but guessing this might be the culprit. Any help, as always, is appreciated!
That's the same one that burned up on my WJ. The harness shorted the heater wire to ground, thus popping the fuse every time it touched the pipe. The sensor was working, it was just late in responding.
