Does anyone know of another wiper reservoir that’s compatible with the XJ? After putting my snorkel in I hard to cut my old reservoir in half so it would fit. It works fine but I was looking to see if there was another cars wiper reservoir that was compatible and smaller?
I just got a ZJ reservoir I'm gonna try to put in the engine bay. I think I can get it to fit, but I don't have ABS and am getting a cowl air intake, so that opens up a lot of room.

I haven't really looked at it that close yet. I read somewhere it will fit and should be able to swap over pumps and everything. I'll try to take a closer look later today and let you know.

And pretty sure that is a CA Emissions thing. That a Federal Jeep does not come with that.
Aside that I always assumed that the layout was the same and that a reservoir from a '96 and down would fit there still.
Just guessing though.
I think I have seen where somebody moved the pump. Over to by the brake booster. But can't find what I might have seen.
Then there was what this guy did. See Post #7.
Yeah that’s the LCD filter and pump under it. I’m not trying to relocate it in the other side of the jeep. Too much work extending the hoses and wires. Im trying to just find a smaller reservoir that I can keep inside my driver side fender.
Reading that thread u posted was helpful. Sounds like the 94-96 Cherokee only has 1 pump hole and I would have to drill the other for both pumps. (That’s what the 97-01 Cherokees have)
BUT the 90/91 Cherokee reservoirs already have two pump holes.
they didn’t say if the electric was compatible though.
based off that thread it seems like getting a 90/91 wiper reservoir is the best option. Maybe splice the wires if the electric doesn’t plug in flush?

Not true or maybe not always true. My '96 had 2 pumps. Least I am almost positive it did.
Pretty sure it had a rear wiper too.
I kinda remember hitting the rear washer by accident. The bezel was busted so the hose wasn't hooked up.
I laughed at the distance that thing shot. I never did fix it. LOL.
Of course in my '00 the bezel was busted too so I could be mistaking my '00 for my '96.
That one I fixed. MLOL.
I'm working on this ZJ reservoir. What I can tell you is that the the electrical connections are the same. But the reservoir I got doesn't have a hole for the low fluid sensor. It's also not turning out to be super easy to get this thing in n there. But I'm gonna keep working on it.

So the electric plugs in that’s good. Does it have two holes for the pumps? My 01 has two holes for the pumps
