Default 01' xj turn signals

Waz up? I'm new to this forum (as well as working on my xj) so try not to laugh at my "dilema". Recently I noticed that my turn signals stopped working, but my hazard lights operate normally. Any idea as to what could be the source of the problem? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

I would have to check wiring in the book...Look for a turn signal RELAY and Fuse. Usually the emergency flashers are on a separate relay and separate fuse. (redundant system for safety)

And feel free to ask any questions. We will see what we can do to help.

If your horn is no longer working too, replace the clock spring.

Check blinker fluid too! J/K flasher might be bad as bouncy says there are seperate flashers for turns and hazards.

Actually its called an Air Bag Clock Spring. It resides under the steering wheel and allows the horn, turnsignals, and airbag to function. Basically a high-dollar rotary electrical connector.

That happens to me now & again. For some reason if I flash my brights my blinkers work, even if my headlights aren't on. Probably won't help but it's worth a try.

Default Real funny

Thats cute how ya'll told me to check my "blinker fluid" and other things that dont exist I said im ignorant, not an idiot (there is a difference). But from what i understand, starting in 97, all the cherokees have a "combination flasher/turn signal" type-thing. Could it be that? Or is it my turn signal lever itself? (keep in mind that my hi-beams still work)

J/K means just kidding. Actually mine is a '90 and everything is on the one stalk except the headlight switch so I'm not sure about the '01s or post '97s.

Did you get this fixed? if so what was the repair? I have the same issue this morning, my 01 GC blinkers stopped working, but the hazards work fine and all bulbs are good.
any help would be appreciated.

You might be in for a long wait as thier last forum activity was 07-11-2017. When digging thru old threads (especially one from 2008), check the posters profile. In the upper left it will show thier last forum activity. If more than a year has passed, consider it dead. In an attempt to help with your blinkers, it may have a faulty relay, but i dont know. The WJ forums are what you want >. https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f5/

Oh, this was so many moons ago, lol. But for me, it was my turn signal relay. I know that you said your issue is with a GC, but here is a video that details what I did in my xj
Hope this helps!
