To replace the rear seal on the transmission, do I need to jack anything up or can I just unbolt the driveshaft and slide it up and out?? Also will any fluid come out the back??

My 96 Asin Warner 4sp 2wd leaks just like this too, going to get a seal pt no 8350 4048 this week and have a go at it next weekend, the roads are bad out here in MS so I think that the driveshaft must spend a lot of time going in and out and round and round....mines just turned 220,000 so I expect a few things will be worn. A lot of the AT fluid has ended up over the back axle, made me think that was leaking!.
Good side of being here in MS is no rust, they dont salt the roads like back home in England.
