I think the technical forum should be tittle DIY forum or How To forum, so that people know is for do it yourself kinda stuff, and that you can go there and find ways to do stuff,, technical is to wide of a category,, just my opinion

Do you mean for the main category for the entire section? Or just one particular forum?

 

I like it..Better represents what the specific area is for and the sections within that area.

The suggestions section im just going to leave alone, we arent going to be able to eliminate posts in wrong sections no matter how hard we try.

When someone types in www.cherokeeforum.com, the first thing they see is the banner on top. As their eyes scroll down a few lines, they see cherokee chat, then grand cherokee chat, followed by jeep builds and finally technical write-ups. A normal forum browser would immediately click on cherokee chat to find or post information regarding the wonderful jeep cherokee that we all own. They will have posted what they wanted to talk about or questions they needed to ask before they even got a chance to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page, where hardly anyone ever looks, where it says CF Suggestions, Questions, Problems. When they realize this could be the actual technical forum for the cherokees, they would get nervous and click on it to make sure they posted in the right section. They will then find that it's just for forum-related questions and comments and breathe a sigh of relief knowing they posted in the very first forum which was the correct place to post it.

in other words, i think the names fit the proper forums well. Of course there will be those newbies who aren't familiar with forums and actually think the "cherokee chat" forum is about talking about indians.......not much you can do about that.
