some buddies of mine went to haspine acres friday night and camped in the 28 degree weather, while it rained up until 10 PM that night...so it was a swampy mess....so that kinda sucked

but, by the next day, the sun was out full blast and that place dries really fast when the suns out, so by 9 AM most of the trails werent to sloppy thankfully.

ive got some pics too from the trip...and i drove there in the rain in my YJ with really no top over most of the jeep..so it was a nice cold wet drive for 90 miles

these pics will give you a good idea of how it was...ive got some pics of us changing tires with a high lift jack at our swampy camp site in the middle of the rain, and of the trail riding, including me get my YJ into a very bad position....

i was in this position a lot during the day when ever i had to hook my winch to a stuck rig to pull him out..the YJ is just a little to light to not have any support while winching..lik


here i am buried...if you look at where the right side tires are, the trail i was suppose to be on is just to the right of the right front tire there...it was off camber and i didnt go across it fast enough and my jeep just slid right down into the trees there....i had to winch myself out

my friend in his XJ ...there was no other way to get him out other then to use my winch...it was to sloppy around there to get a good running start to pull him out, none of use could get it out that way...so if i hadnt had my winch...that woulda been bad news..lol



all in all, it was a good wheeling trip......even tho i got some nice big dents and a cracked tail light from where i slid down into those trees, and later on in the day a downed tree at the side of the trail with a nice big spike claimed one of my 190 dollar MTR tires by putting a fist sized hole in the side wall..yea..lol..was going up a hill, and the jeep slid back down the hill and sideways a little, right onto the tree..

ah well...i plan on buying some new LTBs for it in a couple weeks
