It does it from about 2400-2800 rpm but the high spot is at about 2500. It's quite annoying especially when on the highway and it's constant.

If you're on the highest and at 2500+rpm that's driving a but fast huh??

RPMS go up when going up hill. It also makes the noise just while accelerating around town after it's out of 1st gear. Every time you go to accelerate at speed it makes the noise. It's annoying after a while.

The taper acts of a Venturi that increases the velocity of the air going in the engine. Has anyone experienced negative effects by modifying this?

I think the only draw back is a whistling sound after about 2200rpm. No other complaints from what these guys are saying
